ODOP - Day 14 - Soak Up The Sun

Hello friends,

As today is the end of Summer 'one day one project', it is also the end of my vacation in Surabaya. Before flying to Jakarta, I took the picture of the card with the theme: umbrella.

I used a paper from Echo Park 'I love Sunshine'. I just cut the wentiment from that paper. The first one was stapled. And the one below was just adhered with double tape foam.

Don't get distracted with the cookies behind it. Hehehe. Those were the ones I bought because they were new to me. I wanted to taste them later by having a tea time with my Mom when I arrive in Jakarta.

See you again, my friends...

I made 35 cards for my friend. She asked me to make these to say thanks for the dear ones.

The flowers, the leaves were from StampinUp!. The banner was from Simon Says Stamp. The circles were from Spellbinder.

Hope you enjoy my cards.

ODOP - Day 12 - Add a Splash of Color Every Day

Hello friends,

It's Saturday morning here. We all will travel to Malang, to have a short vacation. We will visit several museums and a fruit garden. We'll spend one night there. So, that's why I need to do this uploading in the morning before we leave.

The theme for today is colorful. I used this stamp from a Hero Arts stamp set. I love this set. So versatile. I used this when I made a game board for learning tenses at school. The ink pads were from Versa Color. The sentiment was from MFT.

The sentiment "Add a splash of color to every day" is my favorite sentiment. I ever used it several times. Yeah, it is we who color our own lives. Always add beautiful color every day. Then, on day, when you recall all the memories, you'll remember the beautiful memories.

Happy weekend, my friends.

ODOP - Day 11 - A Smooth Sea never Made a Skilled Sailor

 Hello friends,

Greetings from Surabaya..

Today's theme for one day one project is ocean. I managed myself to buy two papers about ocean. So, here it is:

I used papers from Simple Stories "Treasure Map". I cut the mermaid and attached it with a double foam tape. The twine I think from Maya Road. The stickers were from Authentique : "Petite Type". Everything was fresh from the store.. Lol..

How about the sentiment: A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor? Do you agree with that? Yes, I do agree. For me, that means, problems in our life will "sharpen" us in facing this life itself.

What do you think?

ODOP - Day 10 - Time to Celebrate

Hello friends,

Right now, I am on the train from Cirebon to Surabaya. Yeahh.. it's another trip. The tiredness was faded with the excitement to have another holiday.

For today, the one day one project's theme is animal. I was searching the 'deer' stamp, when I saw this stamp from Penny Black. I wonder when I bought it. Hehehe..

It's so cute, right? I don't have any idea, why I bought this stamp. Because the animals were mice. Heheh, as a matter of fact, I don't like mice. I'm still thinking of the reason of having this stamp. Lol..

This small paper was to complete the date of the event 'written' by the mice.

Ok, then. Happy holiday...

ODOP - Day 9 - Let's Picnic

Hi friends,

I just returned from Bogor. And at home, I had to finish every single thing, before leaving again tomorrow. Oh my.. just if I can skip some things....

This is my card for today. It's a simple one. Nothing special with that. I really had not much time to explore and think much about the theme: Picnic.

The popsicles paper was from Simple Stories "Summer". It was a left over from a pattern paper that I used for the 8'x8' layouts. I hope it's happy to be used. Hehehe.
I just added a twine from The Twinery and stickers from October Afternoon. A real simple card.

See you again..

ODOP - Day 8 - ATC - Let's Go for a Ride

Greetings from Bogor,

Yeah, I'm still in the middle of the Refreshing Course in Bogor. We had so much fun today. We went to the Botanical Garden after lunch time. We took so many pictures. We loved the togetherness with my mom, too.

Right now, I just finished all the sessions and had a chance to upload the "one day one project". The theme is ATC about summer. What I like doing in summer are swimming and cycling. So I chose this bicycle stamp from StampinUp!. But before that, in my mind, I thought about 'friendship' theme. I made the first ATC with that F monogram. I will make each of the ATC 15. They will be swapped among the participants of the ODOP.

The sentiment "let's go for a ride" was from Hero Arts. The other sentiment was from StampinUp! stamp set. I added some frantage, too.

I'm waiting for the ATC from the swap.. You?

ODOP - Day 7 - Home is Where Mom is

Hello friends,

Greetings from Bogor. I am in Refreshing Course from my church. I'm here for 3 days. I went with more than 300 people. I also invited my mom to come and join us. What else do I need when my mom is already here? Nothing. That's perfect!

Right now, I have a chance to upload the "one day one project". The theme is about 'home'. I happened to have this pattern paper. And also a little book containing wise words about home.

These are each of them:

The front album

This is when it is open

This is when the accordion is open

These will be used on each page

Yeah... since my children still need my care, so it is very true that "Home is Where Mom is". How about you?

ODOP - Day 6 - Thanks a Melon, Friend

Hello friends,

It's been such a very busy day for me. I needed to pick up and then accompany a group of choir who came from Jakarta. They will be in the morning services in 2 churches tomorrow. I just arrived home and directly made this card.

I used a digital stamp from Bugaboo. You can find it here.  I ever made it once long time ago, when I was a DT of one challenge. This will remind you.

I colored the image with Copic markers.

The watermelon is very cute, right.. Hehehe.. Ok.. enjoy your weekend...

ODOP - Day 5 - Let The Fun Begin

Hi friends,

It's the third day of school holiday. I finished all the cards ordered. 35 pink cards and 35 decorated cards. The pink ones will go to the USA. My friend ordered them from me. And the other 35 will be on sale in Galleries Lafayette in Pacific Place, Jakarta. I'll upload the pictures later.

And for today's ODOP, the theme is Tag and still in summer. So, here it is. For the summer ambiance, I took a piece of paper with colorful splotches. I used Mama Elephant girls stamp. Colored it with Copic markers. The round with a heart was from Papertrey Ink die cut. It's an old collection. The twine was from The Twinery. Then tied it with a colorful ribbon. The June calendar was from Simple Stories "Summer Paradise". I also added some sequins. 27 was a sticker from October Afternoon.

On June 27, some crafter friends will gather in Surabaya. I do hope I can join them. I will be in Surabaya on that day, however, there will be many relatives at home to have vacation together with my family. I hope I can skip for some time to meet my lovely friends..

I hope you enjoy my tag...

ODOP - Day 4 - Hello Good Times

Hi friends,

Today's theme is Beach. I remember I have a picture taken last May on the beach. I printed it and I made this layout. It's 8" by 8". I'm not confident enough to make a layout of 12" by 12". Hehehe.. I'm not good enough at making layouts, but I love seeing photos decorated.

It was in Tidung Island, one island in Thousand Islands. It has beautiful beaches, clean sea and beach sand. I love it. I went there with my students..eh.. graduated HS students. We had wonderful time. This picture was taken by my handsome student, Nicky Gunawan.

The background paper was from October Afternoon, "Sarsaparilla". I stamped Hero Arts stamp of Textures and Shapes with Versamark ink pads, turquoise and yellow. The words were from Simple Stories, "Summer Paradise". I cut the waves using MFT die cut. The stickers were from October Afternoon.

See you tomorrow...

ODOP - Day 3 - I came, I saw, I captured

Hello friends,

It's the first day of school holiday. I stay at home the whole day. At least for these three days. I wish to complete all orders, cards for the mall and for my friends in the USA.

Talking about the USA, I really wish I could visit this country in summer. I wonder how it feels. I ever visited the USA in November 2001 and in February 2015. Everywhere was cold. Hehehe..

Well, the "one day one project" today is about the country. So I chose the USA. Here is the layout I made, in 8" x 8". The background paper and the sticker were from October Afternoon. The map and the arrow were from  Crate Paper "Journey"; and those two squares were from Color Chaos "Daily Details".

The picture was taken last February when my hubby and I went to Grand Canyon West, AZ. It's a fantastic place. I love the rocks. We took so many pictures. This layout really encourages me to make more layouts for the photos I had developed. I do hope, I can finish everything during this school holiday.

ODOP - Day 2 - You Make Me Smile

Hi friends...

This morning I found a very pleasant news for me. Yay!! I won a giveaway from Hero Arts. I joined the challenge to make a card with Color Layering Stamp Sets. I luckily just got my newest stamp set: Hibiscus. I think you remember the card I made. It's here. I won US$ 25 shopping spree.. So happy me. It's so rare for me to win anything from Hero Arts. Hehehe... You can see the announcement in Instagram here.

To appreciate the winning, I made a card using this stamp set again. In this card, I used Hero Arts stamps only. The French writing and the big sentiments were the old collections. Before everything was stamped, I brushed the white card stock with DI Tumbled Glass with Koi water brush. Then I dried the paper with the heat gun.

Th closer look on the flowers. I colored the stamps with Kuretake Color Real Brush. To make the color vibrant, I colored the stamped image with the same color. I enjoyed this technique as I felt better in mind. I felt at ease.. :D

However, before the card above, I used the flowers to make the card below. I really wanted to use splotches, But I didn't like the result. It looks too common and I didn't like the flower arrangement.

I hope you enjoy those two cards. I will surely enjoy that gift from Hero Arts. I think I will use it to get the Color Layering Bird. I will surely love it.

ODOP - Day 1 - Ta Ta For Now

Hello friends,

Meet again in "one day one project". This time for 16 days. The theme is yellow. I used this pansy flower. I love it so much. I stamped twice on a white card stock then punched them. I cut one white leaf. The stamp, the punch and the die cut were all from Stampin Up. On a rectangular card stock, I stamped splotches from Hero Arts wood stamp set called Random Splotches. I was so glad when I found this stamp set in the store. I used DI ink pads: weather wood and mustard seed. I also stamped dots and circles. The stamps were also from Hero Arts, old collection. The frame was from Label Eight die cut from Spellbinder. I added some sequins. They are new in my craft rooms. The pattern paper was from Echo Park Paper: here & now. I adhered the rectangular white card stock on to the grey card stock. And finally I adhered it on a yellow card.

Below: after I stamped the splotches, before I adhered anything.

And this is the closer look.
The sentiment "ta ta for now" was from Hero Arts, old collection. I want to give this card to my colleague who will return to Canada and has finished strong teaching at school. I don't think I will meet him again, as he has decided to teach in other countries. I'm quite sad, because he has been my only close friend at school, who happened to understand my wishes for the school. I wish him a wonderful journey of life....

You Are Perfect The Way You Are

Hai friends,

As I mentioned yesterday, I will show you my favorite flower. Yes, it is hibiscus. I love it so much that I happened to have various of hibiscus when I still stayed in mother's house.
I wish I could fine one or two trees of hibiscus so that I can plant them at home.

So this is my card using Heroarts stamp set: Color Layering Hibiscus. This was not the first time I used the set. But I wanted to repeat and repeat again. You know, I was so blown-up when I saw this stamp set on Simon Says Stamp website. Without hesitate, I bought this set. It came with Misti and some ink pads of MFT and SSS. I will try those ink pads later on.

I colored the hibiscus using ZIG Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush. The first layer, I colored the stamp, then I stamped on the paper, using the MISTI. Then I had to use the Sakura Koi watered brush to smooth the ink color. It worked well. I love the result. Then I used the second layer. Again, I colored the stamp. But this time, I used the watered brush to smooth the ink on the stamp, then I stamped on the first layer. This also happened on the third layer. I love the result.

I used Heroarts sentiment. It was an old stamp, but I still keep the  set because the sentiments are all versatile. Then I poured some frantage. I adhered the white card stock on green Bazzil card stock.  I know it's a simple card. I like simple cards, though I also enjoy making "a-bit-crowded card". Hehehe.. Perhaps I will use the die cut of the hibiscus.

Ok, then... thanks for visiting my post. Bye..

New Stamping Tool - So blown-up me

Hi friends,

Last Monday early morning, when I arrived home from Surabaya, I found a package from Simon Says Stamp. Yay!! The MISTI arrived!! Safe and sound. So very glad.

This late afternoon, I managed myself to make 5 similar cards. I saw the tutorial in Jennifer McGuire's blog post. And this is her video in Youtube. It was amazing that I could make similar to hers. I hope she doesn't mind I was making the same kind of card.

Here they are.

The closer look:

I used Vintage Rose stamp set from Altenew. The ink pads were all from Versa Craft. I just bought them last weekend in MSL Surabaya. They gave 50% off for all ink pads. Wow!!
The sentiment was from Hero Arts.

What do you think? Do you like roses? I don't really like them. My favorite flowers? Well, I'll show you tomorrow.. :D
